Description complète
Wii controller extension: playing from the sofa, not from the TV cabinet
The original cable on the NES and SNES Classic Mini controllers is barely a metre long: you end up playing with your nose against the console. This passive extension sits between the controller and the expansion port of the Wii Remote, and adds 1.8 or 3 metres. Nothing to set up: plug it in and play.
What it does
- Two lengths: 1.8 m or 3 m, your choice when ordering.
- Plug it straight in: a male plug on the console side, a female socket on the controller side, on the Wii Remote's expansion connector.
- Passive cable: no battery, no driver, no setting to change on the console.
What it doesn't do
- Doesn't extend a GameCube controller or a Switch controller: the connector isn't the same.
- Doesn't turn a wired controller into a wireless one and doesn't improve the Bluetooth range of a Wii Remote.
- Isn't designed to be daisy-chained with a second extension.
- The supplier states no manufacturer brand: this is a generic cable, with no manufacturer reference. Listing checked on 19 August 2026.
Compatibility
Anything that plugs into the expansion port underneath the Wii Remote: Nunchuk, Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro. The NES Classic Mini and SNES Classic Mini controllers use that same connector and are therefore extended in the same way. Not suitable for GameCube controllers (dedicated ports on the console), Wii U Pro controllers or Switch controllers.
Skill level required
None. No disassembly, no soldering, no tools. Unplug the controller from the Wii Remote or from the front of the Classic Mini, insert the extension, plug it back in.
In the box
- 1 extension cable for the Wii expansion connector, in the length you chose (1.8 m or 3 m).

One metre of cable is too short
The controller supplied with a NES or SNES Classic Mini sits at the end of a cable barely a metre long. The result: you play sitting on the floor in front of the TV cabinet, or the console ends up balanced on a cushion. The extension settles that once and for all: 1.8 m to step back, 3 m to reach the sofa. It's the same comfort on the Wii with a Nunchuk or a Classic Controller.
A passive cable, nothing more
A male plug on one side, a female socket on the other, in the format of the expansion port underneath the Wii Remote. It's the connector Nintendo reused on the Classic Mini consoles, which is why a single extension covers both uses. No electronics inside, no power supply, no driver: the controller is recognised exactly as if it were plugged in directly.
What we tell you before you buy
This is a generic cable: the supplier states no manufacturer brand, and we won't invent one. It does one thing only, extend an existing wired connection. It converts nothing, makes nothing wireless and has nothing to do with GameCube or Switch controllers. A question about your setup? French-speaking customer service, reply within 1 business day.

Frequently Asked Questions
🎮 Which controllers can I extend?
Anything that plugs into the Wii Remote's expansion port: Nunchuk, Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro, as well as the NES Classic Mini and SNES Classic Mini controllers, which use the same connector.
🔌 Do I have to take anything apart or solder anything?
No. The extension sits between the controller and the port: unplug, insert, plug back in. No tools, no soldering.
📏 Which length should I choose?
1.8 m is enough to step back from the TV cabinet. 3 m lets you reach a sofa set further back. The length is chosen when ordering.
🕹️ Does it extend a GameCube controller?
No. GameCube controllers plug into dedicated ports on the console, with a different connector. This extension has nothing to do with them, nor with Switch controllers.
📶 Does it make my controller wireless?
No, it's a passive wired extension. Nor does it improve the Bluetooth range of a Wii Remote, which doesn't go through this cable.
📦 What's in the box?
One extension cable for the Wii expansion connector, in the length chosen (1.8 m or 3 m). Nothing else: no controller, no adapter.
🚚 What are the delivery times?
Delivery in 10 to 18 days, ships within 3 to 5 days.
🛡️ What guarantee applies?
2-year legal guarantee of conformity. 14-day returns.
