Choosing your mini arcade cabinet

A mini arcade cabinet recreates the silhouette of an arcade cabinet in desktop size, with a screen, a joystick and buttons on the front. Every model in this range comes with games licensed from their publishers: nothing to download, nothing to install, just plug in and play.

Two families of mini arcade cabinets

  • Re-releases from the arcade manufacturers: the Astro City Mini V from SEGA (1/6 scale, 4.6-inch vertical screen, 22 games, mostly shoot 'em ups), the Neo Geo Mini (40 SNK games, 3.5-inch screen) and the MVS Mini (45 SNK games, 3.5-inch screen). They can be played on their own screen or on a TV.
  • My Arcade mini cabinets: the Mighty Player PAC-MAN, a 27.9 cm wooden cabinet with a rechargeable battery, the Micro Player (17.5 cm) and the Nano Player (12 cm), running on batteries or a USB-C cable. They are playable collector's items, with no TV output listed.

The deciding criteria

  • Screen orientation: vertical on the Astro City Mini V and the Mighty Player, for shoot 'em ups and PAC-MAN as they were designed; horizontal 4:3 on the SNK models.
  • TV output: Astro City Mini V (HDMI, cable included), Neo Geo Mini (mini HDMI, cable not included) and MVS Mini (HD video output) only.
  • Power: permanent USB connection for the SEGA and SNK models, battery for the Mighty Player, batteries or USB-C for the Micro and Nano Player.
  • Two-player games: on the SEGA and SNK models, you need an extra controller or joystick, sold separately.
  • Licensed games and bonus games: some My Arcade editions add 200 to 300 bonus games to the licensed games. Each product page details which ones are licensed.

What none of them do

The game lists are fixed: no cartridge slot, no adding games. And they are not full-size cabinets: the largest one is 27.9 cm tall. For a game library that grows with official cartridges, take a look at the Evercade consoles; to play on your TV, see our licensed retro home consoles.

Questions fréquentes

Can you connect a mini arcade cabinet to a TV?
Yes, for three models: the Astro City Mini V (HDMI, cable included), the Neo Geo Mini (mini HDMI output, cable not included) and the MVS Mini (HD video output). The My Arcade mini cabinets (Mighty, Micro and Nano Player) don't list any TV output: you play on their screen.
Can you add games to a mini arcade cabinet?
No. Each mini cabinet comes with a list of games set by the publisher, with no cartridge slot and no way to add more. That's what guarantees licensed games. For a game library that grows, Evercade consoles play official cartridges.
What are the “bonus games” on My Arcade mini cabinets?
Some editions of the Micro Player and Nano Player add 200 to 300 bonus games to the licensed games. They are not games from the licensor: the manufacturer describes them as “retro-style” games and doesn't publish a list of them. The licensed games in each edition are detailed on its product page.
