Description complète
Memory card case: your microSD cards stored, identified and protected
As soon as you own several handheld consoles, microSD cards multiply: one per device, a spare, one for backups. They end up at the bottom of a bag, where they pick up moisture, dust and knocks. This rigid case gives each one its own slot and a splash-proof closure, in a size that fits in a console pouch.
What it does
- Individual slots: each card is held in its own slot, without rubbing against the others or against the contacts.
- Rigid shell: absorbs backpack knocks and protects the cards from water splashes and dust.
- Two formats: holds microSD cards and full-size SD cards in the same case.
- Zero electronics: no battery, no driver, no maintenance. It's mechanical storage, with nothing to configure.
What it doesn't do
- It is not a card reader: it doesn't let you read, copy or format a microSD card on a computer.
- It doesn't back anything up. A card that fails is still lost: keep a copy of your systems and saves on a drive.
- It withstands splashes and rain, but it is not IP-certified and must not be submerged.
- It doesn't take proprietary cards or older formats: Memory Stick Pro Duo (PSP), CompactFlash, PS1 / PS2 Memory Card, GameCube memory card.
- The exact number of slots and the case dimensions are not confirmed by the manufacturer.
Compatibility
All microSD format cards (microSD, microSDHC, microSDXC) and full-size SD cards, whatever the capacity and brand: the storage is purely mechanical, so there is no GB limit. It therefore suits cards from retro handheld consoles (Anbernic, Miyoo, TrimUI, Powkiddy, Retroid), as well as cards from a Raspberry Pi, a camera or a drone. However, it doesn't take the proprietary cards of home consoles or PSP Memory Sticks.
Skill level required
None. No disassembly, no soldering, no tools: open the case, insert the cards, close it. Tip: with a fine marker, write the console assigned to each slot on a label stuck to the lid — that's what saves time when you have five systems and eight cards.
In the box
- Black variant: 1 memory card storage case.
- Pack of 3 variant: 3 identical cases.
- No memory card is supplied.

One card per console, and no more sorting blind
Handheld retro gaming has a consequence nobody anticipates: after two or three devices, you end up with a handful of identical microSD cards that are impossible to tell apart by eye. The one for the main console, the spare, the one you prepared to try out another firmware. This case gives each of them a fixed place, which is enough to know which one you're holding without having to insert it to check. It's an ordinary object that solves a real everyday problem.
A rigid case rather than a soft pouch
A microSD card doesn't fear much, except three things: pressure, moisture and rubbing contacts. A fabric pouch protects against none of them. This case's rigid shell absorbs backpack knocks, its closure keeps rain and splashes out, and the individual slots stop the cards rubbing against each other. All in a size that slips in next to the console in its pouch.
What it doesn't replace: your backup
Better to say it before you buy: a case protects the card, not the data. An entry-level microSD card always dies eventually, often without warning, and no case will change that. Keep a copy of your system card and your saves on a drive or in the cloud. Nor is it a card reader: to transfer files to a computer, you'll still need a USB adapter.
