The OLED screen is mainly for switching profiles
The 1.3-inch monochrome screen displays 128 × 40 pixels. Two buttons placed just above it switch from one profile to another and change connection mode without touching the PC. That's where its real value lies: reading the battery level and switching profile mid-game. Custom animations, on the other hand, are pure decoration.
Wireless doesn't work on Xbox
This is the point the product page most often leaves out. The Raikiri Pro does carry Xbox certification, but on console it only works with the USB-C cable. The 2.4 GHz dongle and Bluetooth are reserved for the Windows PC, and Bluetooth additionally requires installing a driver. The headset plugged into the controller also only works in wired mode.
What it isn't
This is not a wireless controller for Xbox: on console, it's the cable or nothing. It has no gyroscope, so no motion aiming. ASUS does not claim Hall effect sticks on this model. It does not work on PlayStation, on Switch or on macOS. And the stated 48 hours assume the lighting off and the vibration turned off.

Can it be used wirelessly on Xbox?
No. On Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, the controller works over USB-C only. The 2.4 GHz dongle and Bluetooth are reserved for the Windows PC.
What's the difference with the ROG Raikiri (without Pro)?
The Pro adds the OLED screen, 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connectivity on PC and four rear buttons instead of two. The ESS DAC and the trigger locks are identical on both models.
Is the 48-hour battery life realistic?
The ASUS figure is measured with no lighting and vibration turned off. With the screen, Aura lighting and vibration active, battery life drops significantly. It's a theoretical maximum, not an everyday average.
Does the headset work wirelessly?
No. The 3.5 mm jack and its ESS DAC only work in wired mode. Over 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth, the audio goes through the PC's sound card.
Does it have Hall effect sticks or a gyroscope?
Neither one. ASUS does not claim Hall effect on this model, and no motion sensor is built in. Response curves and dead zones are set in Armoury Crate, but that does not change the sensor.
Do you need software to configure it?
For button mapping, dead zones, vibration, lighting and the OLED screen, yes: Armoury Crate, on Windows only. Once the profiles are saved, you select them from the OLED screen, including on Xbox.
