Triggers that measure travel
On most mobile controllers, the triggers are simple switches: pressed or released, nothing in between. The M05 uses Hall effect sensors that read 256 intermediate positions. In practice, in a racing game you meter the throttle instead of flooring it. Since the sensor is contactless, there is no track to wear out.
500 Hz, two back buttons and the Moowii app
EasySMX states an adjustable polling rate of up to 500 Hz, meaning inputs are read every two milliseconds. The two back buttons can be programmed to duplicate a front-face button, so you never have to let go of the stick to jump or reload. The Moowii app handles button mapping, including a mapping mode for games that do not natively support controllers.
What it is not
This is not a living-room controller: it plugs into a phone over USB-C and works neither on Switch, nor PlayStation, nor Xbox. iPhones with a Lightning port, iPhone 14 and earlier, are outside compatibility. There is no gyroscope, and the Hall effect applies only to the triggers, not the sticks. Finally, the clamp maxes out at 173 mm: measure your phone with its case before ordering.

Does it work on an iPhone with a Lightning port?
No. The connector is USB-C. Only iPhone 15 and later models are compatible, along with Android phones running Android 9.0 or higher. iPhone 14 and earlier, with Lightning, cannot be connected.
Will my phone fit in the controller?
The telescopic section accepts a length of 100 to 173 mm. Most current phones fall within this range, thin case included. Measure your device with its case if you use a thick cover.
Can the phone be charged while playing?
Yes. The M05 has a passthrough charging port: you plug a power cable into the controller and the phone keeps charging during the session.
Does it have a gyroscope?
No. EasySMX states no gyroscope. Games that use motion aiming will rely on the phone's sensor, not on the controller.
Does it work on Nintendo Switch, PS5 or Xbox?
No. This is a controller for a phone. It gives access to cloud gaming services through the phone (Xbox Cloud Gaming, GeForce Now), but does not plug into a console.
What is the Moowii app for?
It lets you remap the buttons, including the two back buttons, and enable mapping mode for games that do not natively accept controllers. It is also used to switch between HID, Xbox and PlayStation connection modes.
