Fade: the ink of nightmares across fourteen keys
Fade is Turkish, an initiator, and she works on fear: she sends out an entity that hunts the enemy down, reveals their position, blinds and marks them. Her imagery is a running ink black, shot through with muted purples and a pale, almost sickly green. The set's illustration draws on that register as fan art, with no connection to the game's publisher. It is the darkest set in the range: on a black keyboard it merges into the mass and plays on contrasts of texture; on a white one it cuts hard, which is a deliberate stance. It speaks to initiator players, the ones who gather information before the team moves in.
Sublimation and PBT: the facts behind a very dark set
On a dark base one technical constraint shows up immediately: sublimation only goes from light to dark. Heated, the ink turns to gas and diffuses into the plastic instead of sitting on the surface, which makes the design immune to chipping and rubbing, but rules out laying a light tone over a dark one. The substrate is PBT, harder and rougher than the stock ABS, which turns shiny on W, A, S, D and the spacebar. As for dimensions, the manufacturer states 14 keycaps in five sizes: 1U (1.8 × 1.8 cm), Caps Lock 1.75U (3.15 cm), Backspace 2U (3.6 cm), Enter 2.25U (4.05 cm) and a 6.25U spacebar (11.25 cm), in an ANSI layout.
Fade: what this set does not bring to light
Fade's world runs on trails of light in the dark; on the keyboard, nothing lights up. Dye-sublimated legends block the LED light, which only escapes around the keys. This is neither a keyboard nor a complete set of keys: fourteen caps announced on a board carrying well over a hundred, the others staying original, with a different colour and texture. It is not universal: an MX cross-stem is required, so no membrane, low-profile or laptop keyboards, and the spacebar ignores Costar stabilisers. And it is not a licensed product: fan art inspired by the Valorant universe, made by a third-party manufacturer. No keycap puller is included.

Do I need a particular keyboard to fit them?
Mostly the right stem: an MX cross-stem, as found on Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu and their clones. Ruled out are membrane keyboards, low-profile boards and laptop keyboards. The spacebar assumes clip-in MX stabilisers and will not mount on Costar ones. A glance under one key settles it.
What exactly does the set contain?
