Pastel tides: matching a light desk
Nami heals, slows, puts a team back on its feet: she is a champion of tempo rather than noise, and the set stays in that register. The twelve keycaps draw on the aqua of her scales, the turquoise of the wave and a pale shell pink — washed-out tones rather than saturated ones, with no hard outlines. On a white keyboard the whole thing blends into a light wood desk, a cream mousepad, a warm lamp. On a black case the same pastels become three sharp patches in the middle of the keyboard: a different effect, just as deliberate. The set speaks above all to anyone who wants colour without going neon.
A pale palette: what matters before fitting
A pale colour forgives neither dust nor greasy fingers, and that is where the material counts: PBT is harder and drier than the ABS fitted as standard on most keyboards, and it does not take on the sticky shine that appears on the most-typed keys — the shine that shows up most on light shades. The design itself is diffused into the plastic by dye sublimation (DYE-SUB): no layer sitting on the surface, so nothing to flake off under rubbing. For fitting you need an MX cross-stem — Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu — and an OEM profile: each key goes back on the row it was shaped for.
The limits of the set
Twelve keycaps do not make a pastel keyboard: they dress one area, the remaining rows keep their original caps, and the mechanical keyboard has to be there already. They fit neither a membrane keyboard, nor low-profile keys, nor a proprietary stem. And if you were counting on an aqua glow at night: no. PBT is opaque, the light passes around the key without going through the design. Finally, this is an illustration inspired by the League of Legends universe, not a licensed product.

Those whose switches have an MX cross-stem — Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu. Pull off one keycap to check: a cross appears on the stem. Membrane keyboards, low-profile keys and proprietary stems are out of scope.
What is in the box?
12 keycaps and a puller. You choose where they go: WASD, ability keys, function row. This is not a full set, so the format of the keyboard (60%, TKL, full-size) makes no difference at all.
Will the light tones fade?
The colour is laid down by dye sublimation (DYE-SUB): the dye is diffused into the plastic rather than deposited on top, so there is no layer to wear away. PBT also avoids the shine that appears on heavily used ABS keys.
Do you need a white keyboard for this set?
No, but that is where it gives the most: on a white or light grey case, the aqua and pink extend the keyboard instead of cutting across it. On a black keyboard the twelve caps form a highly visible island — a different choice, not a flaw.
Do the legends stay readable on pale colours?
Contrast is softer than on a dark set: in daylight it all reads effortlessly. In a dimly lit room a desk lamp helps more than keyboard backlighting, since PBT is opaque and lets the light out around the key.
Is this set published by Riot Games?
