GameCube fan mount: a 40 mm Noctua fan inside the console
Over the years, a GameCube's fan clogs up and gets noisy. This TicKnot 3D-printed mount lets you fit a 40 mm Noctua fan in its place, from a brand known for its quiet fans. It is available on its own, if you already have the fan, or as a kit with a Noctua fan included.
What it does
- 40 mm adaptation: the mount takes a 40 mm fan inside the GameCube.
- Noctua fan included in the kit + fan versions.
- Screw fixing: the fan screws onto the mount.
- Two colours of mount in the versions with a fan: black or purple.
What it does not do
- The kit-only version contains no fan: you need to supply your own 40 mm fan.
- It does not clean the console: dust built up on the rest of the board still needs removing.
- It does not fix a console that overheats for any reason other than a worn-out fan.
- It is a 3D-printed part, not an original part: slight print lines are visible.

Skill level
You need to open the console and remove the original fan. The GameCube shell comes apart with a 4.5 mm Gamebit security screwdriver, then you need a Phillips screwdriver for the inside. Intermediate level: no particular difficulty if you have opened a console before.
