The Timebox-Evo is a cube-shaped Bluetooth speaker whose entire front is a 16×16 LED grid. It displays your pixel art creations, clock faces or a music visualizer synced to the sound. Its DSP-tuned 6 W speaker is backed by a bass-reflex port.

A cube of pixels that plays sound
On the Timebox-Evo, the screen is not a window in the speaker: it is the whole front. A perfectly square 16 by 16 grid on which you can display a fox, a ghost, a clock or your own creation. It is the format of 8-bit sprites, and it is what gives the device the look of a miniature arcade cabinet.
A visualizer that dances to the music
The DSP-tuned 6 W speaker with its bass-reflex port is enough for a desk or a bedroom. During playback, the pixels move in real time to the sound. The rest of the time, it works as an alarm clock, a sleep aid with nature sounds, a stopwatch, a weather display and a notification center.
What to know before you order
At 16×16, you display one icon or a few letters at a time, not a scene. The built-in mini-games are Divoom games, not retro games. The display is customized from the Divoom app. For more power and a mechanical keyboard, the Ditoo-Pro is the step-up model.
