Divoom Pixoo-Max: pixel art goes big on your wall
The Pixoo-Max features a 32×32 LED grid, meaning 1,024 pixels: four times as many as the Pixoo. That is the resolution at which short text becomes readable and a pixel art animation really takes shape. It mounts on the wall or stands on a shelf, and is controlled from the free Divoom app.
What it does
- 32×32 grid: 1,024 individually controlled pixels for animations, characters of your own creation and scrolling text.
- Clock faces and widgets: dynamic clocks, weather, social media counters, scrolling messages.
- Music visualizer: the screen moves to the rhythm of the music.
- Wall-mounted or free-standing: it mounts on the wall or stands like a picture frame.
What it doesn't do
- It is not a video screen: 32×32 pixels is not enough for a photo or a film.
- It does not work without the Divoom app to change what is displayed.
- No licensed artwork is supplied: no game characters, no logos.

The right size for a wall
At 32×32 pixels, pixel art changes character: short text becomes readable, a character becomes recognizable, an animation tells a story. It is the format that works hung on the wall of a game room or a bedroom, where a smaller screen would get lost. And it is still a true pixel canvas, with the constraint that gives the genre its charm.
Decor that changes with your mood
A clock in the morning, the weather during the day, a music visualizer in the evening, a community creation at the weekend: everything can be changed from the Divoom app without taking the screen down. You can also draw your own animations frame by frame, or display a scrolling message for a birthday.
What to know before you order
The Pixoo-Max relies on the Divoom app to change the display. It replaces neither a photo frame nor a screen: 1,024 pixels is ideal for pixel art, not enough for a photo. No licensed game artwork is supplied. For live data over dual-band Wi-Fi, the Pixoo-64 II is the step-up model.
