Description complète
367D desoldering pump: remove solder without lifting the pad
On a retro console board, desoldering is a matter of seconds: you heat the joint, then clear the solder before it sets. Without suction, you keep at it, heat for too long and lift the pad or pull up a trace. This manual pump sucks up molten solder in a single stroke of the plunger, on a console board, a controller or an arcade PCB.
What it does
- Instant suction: plunger cocked by hand and released with a push button, the molten solder goes into the body of the pump.
- Through-hole components: capacitors, connectors, crystals, power sockets, jack ports — everyday parts on a console or controller board.
- No consumables: unlike desoldering braid, the pump can be reused without refills.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't heat. The supplier's original product name calls it a “solder gun”: it is a manual vacuum pump, and a soldering iron is still essential.
- It comes on its own: no iron, no solder, no desoldering braid.
- On a multilayer board with a large ground plane, a single stroke often leaves solder in the hole. You need to reheat and try again, or finish with braid.
- It is not suitable for desoldering fine SMD parts (QFP, BGA) or glued ribbon cables: these packages require a hot air station.
Compatibility
Universal tool for soldering work: it works on any board with through-hole components, whatever the machine — handheld and home console motherboards, controllers, arcade PCBs, video adapters, power supplies. However, it is not suited to all-SMD repairs, which are handled with hot air or braid.
Skill level required
Beginner with guidance. You need to know how to handle a soldering iron: heat the pad from the side, place the pump on the molten joint, release. You will need a fine-tip iron, a board holder and a ventilated area. A first try on a scrap board saves you from learning the technique on the console you want to repair.

The technique: heat, suck, move on
A bulging capacitor on a console board, a power port torn off a handheld: in both cases, the hard part isn't heating, it's clearing the solder before it sets. Heat the pad from the side, place the pump on the liquid solder, release. The component then comes out without forcing, and the trace stays in place.
Why a pump rather than braid
Desoldering braid is a consumable: you cut it, you throw it away, and it needs prolonged contact with the board. The pump does the opposite: it removes the bulk in one go, with no consumables and no extra heating time. The two tools complement each other — the pump for most of the solder, the braid for the residue in the hole.
What we tell you before you buy
The supplier's original product name advertises a “solder gun”: that's misleading, the tool doesn't heat and doesn't replace a soldering iron. We have no manufacturer's instructions for this model, so no length, weight or body material is stated here. Listing verified on 19 August 2026. French customer service, reply within 1 business day.

Frequently Asked Questions
🔧 Do I need a soldering iron as well as the pump?
Yes. The pump doesn't heat: it sucks up solder that has already melted. A fine-tip iron is essential.
🎮 Which boards can I use it on?
Any board with through-hole components: handheld and home console motherboards, controllers, arcade PCBs, video adapters, power supplies.
🧰 How does desoldering with a pump work?
Cock the plunger, heat the joint from the side of the pad, place the nozzle on the liquid solder and release. Any remaining residue can be cleaned up with braid.
📦 What's in the box?
1 manual desoldering pump 367D, black. No iron, solder or braid is supplied.
♻️ How do I maintain it?
Regularly empty the cooled solder that builds up inside the body: that's what reduces suction. We don't have the manufacturer's instructions for this model, so the exact disassembly procedure is not confirmed.
⚠️ Can it desolder SMD components?
Not fine packages (QFP, BGA) or glued ribbon cables, which require a hot air station. It is made for through-hole work.
🚚 What are the delivery times?
Delivery in 10 to 18 days, ships within 3 to 5 days.
🛡️ What guarantee applies?
2-year legal guarantee of conformity. 14-day returns.
