90° angled USB-C cable: the connector no longer digs into your palms

On a handheld console, a straight cable sticks out of the bottom of the shell and gets in the way of your hands as soon as you play plugged in. This 90° angled USB-C to USB-C cable keeps the connector flat along the chassis and frees up your grip. The manufacturer states 100 W Power Delivery and a transfer rate of 10 Gbps, in five lengths from 0.5 to 3 metres.

What it does

• Charging up to 100 W: the cable does not limit the USB Power Delivery negotiation between your charger and your console. A handheld console that accepts 18, 45 or 65 W charges at its maximum speed.
• 10 Gbps data transfer: the manufacturer states a USB 3.2 Gen 2 level transfer rate. Copying a ROM library or emptying a microSD card goes through the same cable as charging.
• 90° angled connector: the connector body stays flat against the edge of the console instead of sticking out at a right angle. Less mechanical stress on the USB-C port, which is the most fragile part of a handheld console.
• Braided sheath and aluminium alloy housings: stated construction is braided nylon + aluminium, designed for a cable you coil and uncoil in a bag every day.

What it doesn't do

• It doesn't charge faster than your console accepts. The 100 W is a cable ceiling, not a power promise: a console limited to 15 W will stay at 15 W.
• The manufacturer declares no certification on its data sheet. It is not a USB-IF certified cable, and we do not present it as one.
• The 4K/60 Hz claim on the supplier's listing depends entirely on the source device, which must support DisplayPort Alt Mode. The vast majority of Linux-based retro consoles (Anbernic RG35XX, Miyoo Mini Plus, TrimUI Brick) don't have it: on these devices, no video output is possible, whatever the cable.
• Both ends are male USB-C. It doesn't plug into a micro-USB or USB-A port, and it doesn't replace an adapter.
• The package does not include a power adapter: it's the cable only.
• The manufacturer's listing doesn't specify whether the 90° bend is on one end only or on both. To be confirmed before any order where orientation is critical.

Compatibility

Any device with a USB-C port: retro handheld consoles (Anbernic, Retroid Pocket, TrimUI, Miyoo, Powkiddy), handheld gaming PCs (Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion Go, MSI Claw), Nintendo Switch, smartphones, tablets and laptops that charge via USB-C. Not suitable for consoles with a micro-USB port (older Anbernic RG350, RG280) or Lightning devices. To get the full 100 W, you also need a charger that can deliver it.

None. Nothing to take apart, nothing to solder, no tools needed: just plug it in. Simply choose the length based on how you'll use it — 0.5 m for a power bank in your pocket, 1 m for playing seated near a socket, 2 or 3 m for a socket far from the sofa.
