Description complète
THEC64 Mini Black Edition: 25 of today's C64 games, in a black Commodore 64
The THEC64 Mini Black Edition is Retro Games' 50% scale replica of the Commodore 64, in matte and glossy black. It doesn't bring back the 80s classics: it comes with 25 neo-classic games created by today's C64 scene — Sam's Journey, A Pig Quest, Hessian, Galencia. 720p HDMI output, a matching microswitch joystick included, BASIC and loading of your own programs from a USB stick.
What it does
- 25 built-in modern games: including Sam's Journey, A Pig Quest, Galencia, Hessian, Knight 'N' Grail, Metal Warrior Ultra and Hunter's Moon Remastered.
- THEJOYSTICK Black Edition included: a microswitch joystick in the console's colours.
- 720p HDMI output: 50 or 60 Hz, US and European display modes, CRT filter.
- Four save slots per game: so you can pick up your game later.
- A real computer: BASIC programming, saving to a USB stick and loading your own programs.
- USB ports: for joysticks, controllers, USB sticks and a keyboard.
What it doesn't do
- The keyboard is decorative: its keys don't work. To program in BASIC, you need to plug in a USB keyboard or use the on-screen keyboard.
- No commercial games from the 80s: the 25 built-in games are recent creations from the C64 scene, not the original classics.
- The mains adapter is not included: only the USB power cable is in the box.
- No built-in screen: you need an HDMI TV or monitor.
- Only one joystick included: to play with two players, you need a second USB joystick, sold separately.
- It's not an original Commodore 64: it's a half-size replica that emulates the machine.
Compatibility
HDMI TV or monitor, cable included. Joysticks, controllers, USB sticks and USB keyboards on the USB ports. THEQUICKSHOT II is compatible once its dedicated mode is enabled. USB mains adapter not included.
Getting started
Connect the console to your TV with the included HDMI cable, plug the joystick into a USB port and the power cable into a USB mains adapter, then switch on: the 25 games appear in the menu. To load your own programs, put them on a USB stick.

Today's C64 scene, in 25 games
This edition takes the opposite approach to the usual minis: no 80s compilation, but 25 games recently created by the developers who keep the Commodore 64 alive. Sam's Journey, A Pig Quest, Hessian and Galencia show what the machine can do when pushed. Original programs you own load from a USB stick.
A half-size Commodore 64, in black
The case reproduces the Commodore 64 at 50% scale, in matte and glossy black, with a matching microswitch joystick. The keyboard is decorative: it's an object to set under the TV, connected via 720p HDMI, with a CRT filter and US or European display modes.
As much a computer as a console
The THEC64 Mini can boot like a real Commodore 64 and run your BASIC programs, saved to a USB stick. Just add a USB keyboard. Four save slots per game let you pick up where you left off, and the USB ports accept a second joystick for two-player games.
