Switch 2 acrylic display case: the console stays on show, the dust stays out
A console sitting on a shelf gathers dust within a few days: the ventilation grille, the triggers and the screen get grimy, and a glasses cloth is no longer enough. This rigid clear acrylic cover fits over the console and keeps it visible at all times. It's a display accessory, designed for a setup where the hardware is on show.
What it does
- Dust barrier: the cover encloses the space around the console and limits build-up on the screen, grilles and connectors.
- Console on view: the clear acrylic lets you see the machine without having to take it out of a sleeve or a closed case.
- Rigid shell: unlike a soft cover, the wall stands on its own and doesn't rest on the console.
What it doesn't do
- It is not a carrying case. The acrylic is rigid but brittle: it doesn't protect against a fall and isn't designed for a backpack.
- It is not an airtight or waterproof display case: it holds back dust, it doesn't create a vacuum.

A machine kept in a drawer doesn't gather dust, but you can't look at it either. Cleaning becomes a routine, and every wipe of the cloth is a chance to scratch a screen. A clear display case solves the problem from above: the console stays visible, and dust no longer reaches it.
A rigid cover, not a sleeve
The difference from a fabric cover comes down to one word: rigidity. The acrylic holds its shape, doesn't rest on the screen and doesn't rub against anything when you lift it off. You lift the cover with one hand, take the console, put the cover back: no tools, no disassembly, no risky handling. Transparency also changes everyday use — you can see the machine, so you actually put it back under its display case instead of leaving it out in the open.
