Description complète
Supergun JAMMA CBOX: an arcade board connected to a TV
An arcade board has no screen, no power supply and no controller: it expects the chassis of a cabinet. The CBOX takes on that role on a corner of your desk. It provides the 56-pin JAMMA connector, an ATX power input and an RGBS video output to a SCART socket. This version takes controllers in the DB15 format.
What it does
- 56-pin JAMMA connector: takes a game board with the standard JAMMA pinout, Neo Geo MVS motherboards included.
- RGBS output to SCART: the board's analogue RGB signal goes to the TV without being re-encoded as composite.
- DB15 controller port: 15-pin Neo Geo AES/MVS-style pinout, for a stick or controller fitted with this connector.
- Powered by an ATX unit: a standard PC power supply provides the voltages required by the game board.
- No soldering: the board slides into the connector, and everything else plugs in.
What it doesn't do
- Supplied without games, in compliance with the law: no arcade board and no cartridge are included.
- No ATX power supply, SCART cable or DB15 controller in the box — all of these must be sourced separately.
- Doesn't improve the picture: no HDMI conversion, no VGA, no deinterlacing or scaling. The signal stays at 15 kHz.
- Only wires the three buttons per player provided for by the JAMMA standard. Games with four or more buttons (additional harness known as a “kick harness”) need extra wiring, not included.
- Doesn't replace a cabinet chassis: no coin mechanism, no speaker, no screen.
- The version sold here is the DB15 version. It doesn't directly accept controllers with a DB9 connector.
Compatibility
Arcade game boards with the 56-pin JAMMA pinout, including Neo Geo MVS motherboards (MV1 and derivatives). For the picture, you need a display that accepts 15 kHz RGB: a CRT TV with RGB SCART, an arcade monitor, or an external converter such as an OSSC or RetroTINK on a modern screen. A flat-screen TV connected via SCART rarely displays this signal correctly without conversion. For controllers, a DB15 connector with the Neo Geo AES/MVS pinout. Boards with a proprietary pinout (JAMMA+, JVS, specific manufacturer harnesses) are not covered.
Skill level required
No soldering, but this isn't a mass-market product. You need to know how to orient a JAMMA board the right way round — plugging it in backwards can destroy the game board — have a working ATX power supply, and check the voltages before powering on for the first time. Have a multimeter to hand for this check. Allow just under an hour for a careful first setup.

An arcade board without the cabinet
An arcade game board bought on its own does nothing. It has no screen, no power supply, no controller: it expects the chassis of a cabinet weighing eighty kilos. The supergun is collectors' answer to this problem. It takes over the cabinet's 56-pin JAMMA connector, adds a power input and a video output, and fits on a corner of your desk.
The RGB signal, no detours
This CBOX outputs RGBS to a SCART socket: the three colours and the sync travel separately, as on the original monitor. Nothing is re-encoded as composite, nothing is scaled. On a CRT TV with RGB SCART, the picture is the one the game produced in the arcade. On a flat screen, you need to go through an external converter.
What you need to plan around it
The package contains the CBOX and nothing else. You need to add a PC ATX power supply, a SCART cable, a controller or stick with a DB15 connector and, of course, a game board, which we don't sell. Also have a multimeter ready: checking the board's orientation and the voltages before powering on for the first time avoids destroying a circuit that has become rare.

Frequently Asked Questions
🕹️ What exactly is a supergun?
It's an arcade cabinet chassis reduced to the essentials: a JAMMA connector, a power input and a video output. It lets you run an arcade game board on a TV, without the cabinet.
🎮 Which game boards does it accept?
Boards with the standard 56-pin JAMMA pinout, including Neo Geo MVS motherboards. Proprietary pinouts (JAMMA+, JVS, specific manufacturer harnesses) are not covered.
🔌 What power supply do I need?
A PC ATX power supply, connected to the dedicated connector. It is not included. Check the voltages with a multimeter before plugging in the game board.
📺 Which screen should I connect the RGBS output to?
A CRT TV with RGB SCART or a 15 kHz arcade monitor. On a modern flat screen, you need an external converter such as an OSSC or RetroTINK: the CBOX does no scaling.
📦 What's in the box?
The Supergun JAMMA CBOX in DB15 version, on its own. No power supply, SCART cable, controller or game board.
🔧 Do I need to solder anything?
No. The game board slides into the JAMMA connector and everything else plugs in. However, only the three buttons per player provided for by the JAMMA standard are wired: games with four or more buttons need an extra harness, not included.
🚚 What are the delivery times?
Delivery in 10 to 18 days, ships within 3 to 5 days.
🛡️ Which guarantee applies?
2-year legal guarantee of conformity. 14-day returns. French customer service, reply within 1 business day.
