Description complète
RMA-223 flux: the go-to choice for fine work on circuit boards
Without flux, a rework joint doesn't take properly, the solder balls up and the pads stay hot for too long. RMA-223 is the flux most repair workshops use: a mildly activated rosin, it wets well without attacking the solder mask. Supplied in a 10 cc syringe with needle, so you can dose it precisely.
What it does
- Instant wetting: the solder spreads instead of beading, and rework holds first time.
- Syringe with needle: you apply it exactly where it's needed, without getting it everywhere.
- Iron and hot air: suitable for soldering iron work as well as desoldering SMD components.
What it doesn't do
- It's not solder paste. Flux contains no solder: you need wire or paste alongside it.
- You need to clean up afterwards — with isopropyl alcohol. Rosin residue isn't corrosive, but it's sticky and attracts dust.
- It doesn't replace a good iron tip: flux can't make up for an undersized iron.
Compatibility
Universal: console motherboards, power supplies, connectors, SMD components. Usable with a soldering iron or a hot air station.
Skill level required
This is a workshop consumable: it assumes you already solder. For a console recap or reworking a charging port, it's the product that makes the difference between a clean joint and a cold joint.

The product that separates a clean joint from a cold joint
Many beginners blame their iron when the problem lies elsewhere: without flux, oxidation stops the solder from wetting the pad. It beads up, you have to heat for longer, and you end up lifting the trace. A dab of RMA-223 and the solder spreads on its own, in two seconds.
Why RMA-223 rather than another flux
It's a mildly activated rosin: it wets very well without attacking the board's solder mask, unlike acid fluxes intended for plumbing. It has become the go-to choice of phone and console repair workshops, and the needle syringe lets you dose it with pinpoint precision.
Don't forget to clean up
Rosin residue isn't corrosive, but it stays sticky and attracts dust. A wipe of isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush are enough to finish cleanly. And to state the obvious: flux contains no solder, it's used alongside wire or paste.

Frequently Asked Questions
🔧 What exactly does flux do?
It removes oxidation as you heat and lets the solder wet the pad instead of beading up. That's what makes a joint shiny and solid.
🧪 Is it solder paste?
No. Flux contains no solder: it's used alongside solder wire or paste.
🎮 What can I use it on?
Console motherboards, charging ports, connectors, capacitors, SMD components. With a soldering iron or a hot air station.
🧴 Do I need to clean up afterwards?
Yes. The residue isn't corrosive but stays sticky: a wipe of isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush are enough.
⚠️ Is it harsh on the board?
No, it's a mild rosin that doesn't attack the solder mask — unlike acid fluxes intended for plumbing, which should never be used in electronics.
📦 What's in the box?
One 10 cc syringe and one dispensing needle.
🚚 What are the delivery times?
Delivery in 10 to 18 days, ships within 3 to 5 days.
🛡️ What warranty applies?
