PS2 Slim power supply: bringing a silent console back to life
On a PS2 Slim, the power supply isn't inside the console: it's an external AC adapter that gets lost, breaks at the cable or eventually gives out. Without it, the machine won't power on at all. This replacement unit uses the SCPH-70000 series format and plugs in exactly where the original did, with nothing to take apart.
What it does
- Replaces the original adapter: same connector as the power supply shipped with 70000 series PS2 Slim consoles.
- Plug it straight in: mains on one side, console on the other, no settings and nothing to take apart.
- European plug: the only version we ship is the EU format, so there's no travel adapter to plan for.
What it doesn't do
- Doesn't fit the first-generation PS2, known as the "Fat" (SCPH-30000 / 50000): its power supply is internal and it connects with a simple mains cord.
- Doesn't repair a console whose fault lies elsewhere — drive, capacitors, motherboard. If the LED stays off with a working adapter, the power supply isn't the problem.

Compatibility
Designed for SCPH-70000 series PS2 Slim consoles (70004, 75004, 77004, 79004 in their European versions). It doesn't apply to the first-generation PS2 (SCPH-30000 / 50000, built-in power supply) or to any other console. For an SCPH-90000, compare the reference and the output ratings printed on your current adapter before ordering: the connector is identical, but the power supply model changes between revisions.
