SNAC adapter: the original controller connected directly to the MiSTer

On a MiSTer FPGA, a controller usually goes through USB, with a converter in between. The SNAC connects the original controller directly to the MiSTer's user port: the core receives the native signals of the SNES, NES or Saturn controller, with no conversion step.

What it does

• Native signal: the controller communicates with the core as it did with the console, without going through USB.
• No USB conversion: that is the whole point of SNAC for players who pay attention to latency.
• Three versions: SNES, NES or Saturn, each as a standard version or a Kit version.

What it doesn't do

• It does not plug into a regular USB port or a PC: its USB 3-style connector only serves as the MiSTer's user port.
• It only works with cores that support SNAC for this controller, and must be enabled in the core's menu.
• One adapter matches a single type of controller: SNES, NES or Saturn.
• Controllers are not included.
