Darius, the Noxian Guillotine at your fingertips
Darius does not bother with finesse: he walks forward, takes the hits and finishes with one swing of the axe. He is the champion of top lane players who would rather win a duel than avoid it, and the set picks up that register: blood red, black steel, Noxian ironwork, with no gradients and no flourishes. This heavy palette holds better on a black case, where it reads as a continuation of the keyboard, than on a white model where the red turns into a stain. The twelve keycaps cover the movement zone and the abilities, exactly what a top laner hammers all game long. A blunt set, for a desk that is not looking for nuance.
PBT under the fingers: hardness, grain and wear
What sets this one apart in daily use is the material. PBT is a harder, drier plastic than the ABS fitted as standard on most keyboards: under the finger the surface stays matte and does not build up the glossy, sticky film that appears on the most heavily typed keys. The motif, for its part, is applied by dye-sublimation (DYE-SUB): the dye sinks into the material instead of being laid on top, so there is no layer to wear through or chip, and a fingernail feels no raised edge on the legend. As for fitting: MX cross-stems (Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu), OEM profile row by row, puller included, reversible installation.
What the Darius set is not
A visual this massive can give the impression of a complete keyboard delivered in a box: it is not the case. Twelve keycaps dress one zone, not entire rows, and the mechanical keyboard has to exist already. They fit neither a membrane keyboard, nor low-profile keys, nor a proprietary stem. The red does not light up: PBT is opaque, the switch light passes around the cap and not through the legend, so do not count on it for a lighting effect. And this is an illustration inspired by the League of Legends universe, not a licensed product.

Will this set fit my keyboard?
It mounts on mechanical keyboards with an MX cross-stem: Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu. Pull off one cap and look at the switch stem: if it forms a cross, the set clips onto it. On a membrane keyboard, on low-profile keys or on a proprietary stem, the keycaps will not attach.
How many keycaps are in the set?
12 keycaps and a puller, to spread according to how you play: WASD, ability keys or the function row. This is not a full set: the rest of the keyboard keeps its original caps, and the layout size (60%, TKL, full-size) makes no difference.
Does PBT go shiny when you hammer it?
No, and that is exactly what separates it from ABS: PBT is harder and drier, and does not take on the glossy film of the most heavily used keys. The motif does not shift either, since dye-sublimation (DYE-SUB) diffuses the dye into the plastic instead of laying it on the surface.
Do the lines stay readable on so dark a background?
The set is dark, and that is the point: the pale lines of the illustration stand out against the red and the steel with no need for light. Because printing is done by dye-sublimation, the line has no relief for dust to catch on and stays crisp. PBT, however, is opaque: do not count on the backlight to reveal the motif at night – a desk lamp does the job better.
Which keys should this set go on when playing top?
A top laner spends the game on the same keys: the movement zone and the two or three abilities they chain. That is where the twelve keycaps show most, and the cue under the finger comes from the OEM profile, whose height changes from one row to the next. The rest of the keyboard can stay original without the whole looking unbalanced.
Is this an official League of Legends product?
No. This is an illustration inspired by the League of Legends universe, not a licensed product. The caps remain ordinary keyboard keycaps, independent of the game.
