Kalista Keycaps: change only the keys you actually use
Replacing every cap on a keyboard is expensive and adds nothing to the rows your fingers never touch. This set takes the opposite approach: twelve caps, placed exactly where the game is played.
Where your fingers really spend their time
In game, activity is concentrated on a handful of keys. The movement cluster first, then the spell and ability keys, then two or three shortcuts your pinky and thumb hit by reflex. The numpad, the function keys and much of the top row stay almost idle for a whole evening. Dressing them up changes neither the feel nor the comfort.
Spreading twelve caps smartly
- Priority 1: the movement cluster, the one that gets the most keystrokes per minute.
- Priority 2: the action keys right around it, under the same fingers.
- Priority 3: the shortcuts you trigger without thinking, often along the edge of the keyboard.
A contrast that also helps in game
A colored island amid black keys doesn't just decorate. It visually marks out the play area: when your hand comes back to the keyboard after grabbing a drink or adjusting the volume, it aims for a recognizable shape rather than a uniform surface. Partial replacement isn't a budget compromise, then — it's a choice with its own logic.
Spectral blue and spearheads
The design follows the Spear of Vengeance: cool blues and ghostly greens, deep black, pale glints that evoke her spectral armor and javelins. A palette that's dark and luminous at once, standing out sharply against stock black caps.

The Nocturne keycaps stay in nighttime blues with a harsher look. The Malzahar keycaps add Void purple to the same cool mood. For a more understated option, the Pyke keycaps lean toward marine blue-green.
Two questions about partial replacement
Will the mix with my stock caps show? Yes, and that's intentional. A partial replacement is meant to be an accent: aim for contrast rather than discretion.
Does the OEM profile match my current keyboard? OEM is the most common profile on mass-market keyboards. Its height varies by row, so put each cap on the row it belongs to in order to keep a consistent line.

The Spear of Vengeance under your left hand
Kalista is played to the millimetre: every attack shifts the character, and the keyboard works as hard as the mouse. The artwork picks up the spectre of the Spear of Vengeance, her cold blue-greens and her spear tips, in a dark, angular palette. The set is built to stay discreet: you do not dress the whole board, you mark the movement block and the ability keys, the ones your left hand never leaves. The rest of the keyboard keeps its original legends. On a black keyboard the transition is almost invisible; on a white one the play zone is spotted at a glance. It suits players who like a sober desk with a single point of accent.
Twelve keys, one play zone
Nothing is imposed: the 12 keys are standard size and you decide where they go. WASD and the ability keys form the natural block, on AZERTY as on QWERTY, and nothing changes on the hardware side. Fitting is on the MX cross-stem, which covers Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh and Outemu: pull off a cap and the raised cross appears. The OEM profile changes height from one row to the next, so each key goes back on an equivalent row, otherwise you feel a step under your fingers. The supplied puller slides in diagonally around the cap and then pulls straight up: everything is done from above, without opening the keyboard.
What the blue-green does not cover
Twelve keys is not a dressed keyboard: the set marks a zone, it does not replace every keycap, and keys with a manufacturer-specific width stay as they are. Nor is it an accessory that acts on the game: a keycap touches neither the switch, nor the travel, nor the response. It is not a set for membrane keyboards or for keyboards with low-profile scissor-mechanism keys, which have no MX cross-stem, nor for a keyboard built in Cherry, XDA or SA profile. And it is not a licensed product: the Kalista artwork is a creation inspired by the League of Legends universe, with no connection to the game's publisher.
What this set contains

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know whether my keyboard is compatible?
Look at the switch under a keycap: a raised MX cross-stem means the 12 keycaps clip onto it, including on Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh and Outemu. Membrane keyboards and keyboards with low-profile scissor-mechanism keys do not have that stem.
Does the set contain the keys I need?
It includes 12 keys in standard size, with no fixed assignment: WASD, abilities, the top of the movement block, your call. Keys with a manufacturer-specific width are not covered.
Do the original legends stay readable alongside?
Yes, and that is the point of a partial fit. The 12 keys form an island you can find by touch and by eye, while the rest of the keyboard keeps its factory legends. On a dark palette, that island reads through the artwork rather than through characters.
Does the backlight shine through?
No. Dye-sublimated PBT is opaque: light travels around the cap and forms a halo, it does not light the design.
Which other set goes well with this one?
Any set with a cool dominant: blue and green palettes answer each other without competing, whereas a red or orange design on the same keyboard breaks the coherence. A second island on the number pad works well, provided the dye-sublimation print matches.
Is this a Riot Games product?
No. The artwork is a creation inspired by the League of Legends universe, not a licensed product. The set remains a set of keycaps, independent from the game.
