Description complète
Intellivision Sprint: the 1979 console, plugged back into a modern TV
The Intellivision Sprint celebrates the 45th anniversary of the Intellivision console, re-released by Atari. It comes with 45 games from the original catalogue — Astrosmash, Shark! Shark!, Boulder Dash, Night Stalker, Utopia — and two rechargeable wireless controllers that keep the directional disc and the numeric keypad with overlays. Emulation is based on jzIntv, the Intellivision community's reference. HDMI output.
What it does
- 45 built-in games: including Astrosmash, Shark! Shark!, Boulder Dash, Baseball, Night Stalker, Utopia, Vectron and Thin Ice.
- 2 rechargeable wireless controllers: they store in the console, which charges them.
- Overlays included: each game has its own controller cards, compatible with original Intellivision controllers.
- jzIntv emulator: considered by the community to be the most faithful Intellivision emulation.
- Firmware updates: the first one adds QR codes linking to the game manuals.
What it doesn't do
- No cartridge port: original Intellivision cartridges can't be played.
- The list of 45 games is fixed.
- The USB mains adapter is not included.
- The controller keeps its 1979 ergonomics: directional disc and numeric keypad, confusing for anyone who never used it.
- No built-in screen: you need an HDMI TV or monitor.
Compatibility
TV or monitor with an HDMI input. Powered via USB-C cable, mains adapter not included. The included overlays also fit original Intellivision controllers.
Getting started
Connect the console to your TV via HDMI, plug the USB-C cable into a USB mains adapter, switch on: the 45 games are in the menu. The controllers charge when you slot them into the console. No installation, no account to create.

The Intellivision catalogue, without hunting for cartridges
Tracking down an Intellivision in good condition, with its controllers and cartridges, is expensive and takes patience. The Sprint brings together 45 games from the catalogue in a console that connects via HDMI, with the jzIntv emulator that the Intellivision community considers the most faithful. Astrosmash, Shark! Shark! and Utopia are in the menu.
The 1979 controller, now wireless
The directional disc and the numeric keypad with overlays are still there: that's what gives the Intellivision its identity, and what makes it confusing for anyone who has never held one. The difference is that both controllers are now wireless and rechargeable, stored and charged in the console.
Licensed games, in an official machine
The 45 games are supplied with the console by Atari, which now owns the Intellivision brand. Nothing to download, no rights issues: this is exactly the kind of machine we put in our official and legal retro gaming section, and among our licensed retro home consoles.
