Nagakabouros on a compact board
Illaoi does not back down: a massive priestess, a stone idol at the end of her arm, tentacles bursting from the ground in the name of Nagakabouros. The set's artwork picks up that imagery with deep greens, ochres and the golden glints of a totem, an organic palette far from the blues and reds seen everywhere else. On a small keyboard, this kind of design makes even more sense: fewer visible keys, so each cap counts for more. The set is aimed at players who moved to a compact format to free up space for the mouse and who want that keyboard to have an identity, not just a smaller footprint.
Twelve keys on a 60% or 65% board
On a 60% or 65% keyboard, 12 keys make up a visible share of the board: the movement block, a few abilities, one or two function keys, and the accent is set. These caps are standard size; keys with a manufacturer-specific width, common on the bottom row of compact formats, are not covered. Fitting is on the MX cross-stem, so Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh and Outemu: the raised cross shows as soon as you pull off a cap. The OEM profile changes height row by row, so put each key back on an equivalent row. The supplied puller does the rest, on AZERTY as on QWERTY.
What the compact format does not solve
A smaller board does not make the set universal: 12 keys dress one area, they cover neither a 60% nor a 65% keyboard in full, and keys with a manufacturer-specific width stay as they are. It is not a product for membrane keyboards or for keyboards with low-profile scissor-mechanism keys, which have no MX cross-stem, nor for a keyboard built in Cherry, XDA or SA profile. It is not a backlit set: dye-sublimated PBT is opaque, light passes around the keys and not through the legends. Finally, the Illaoi artwork is a creation inspired by the League of Legends universe: it is not a licensed product.

- Clavier AZERTY ISO : la touche 2U fournie correspond au Retour arrière, pas à la touche Entrée, qui est en L sur un clavier français
- Ne convient pas aux claviers à membrane, aux claviers à touches basses (low profile) ni aux switches à tige propriétaire

Is my compact keyboard concerned?
Format plays no part, only the switch counts: you need an MX cross-stem, found on Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh and Outemu. A membrane keyboard, or one with low-profile scissor-mechanism keys, stays incompatible whatever its size.
What is in the box?
The stated contents are 12 keycaps and a puller. The caps are standard size, and keys with a manufacturer-specific width are not supplied.
Are twelve keys enough on a 60% board?
On a board that short, 12 keys already cover the movement block and several abilities, a clearly visible share of the keyboard. On a 65% the effect is a little more diluted, and on a full-size format it is an accent rather than a full look.
Do you need a backlight to enjoy the design?
No, and it does not shine through either: dye-sublimated PBT is opaque, the design reads in ambient light, the LED lighting only the edges.
Do the greens and ochres hold up on a white keyboard?
They do, with a softer result than an outright dark design: the deep greens gain depth next to a light case. On a black keyboard, it is the ochres and golds that carry the design.
Is this set approved by the publisher?
No. It is an illustration inspired by the League of Legends universe, not a licensed product, and there is no connection whatsoever with the game's publisher.
