GuliKit NS51 TMR joysticks: the anti-drift repair part, single or in packs
When a controller drifts, it is almost always the joystick's resistive track that has worn out. The GuliKit NS51 replaces this module with a joystick using a TMR magnetic sensor, which reads the position with no rubbing contact. Available from 1 to 10 pairs, it is aimed as much at the player repairing their own controller as at the workshop repairing several.
What it does
- Contactless TMR sensor: no track that wears out through friction, so no more drift caused by that wear.
- One version per controller: PS4, PS5, Xbox Series and Switch Pro, in the format of the original module.
- Packs of 1, 2, 5 or 10 pairs: enough to repair one controller or a whole batch.
What it doesn't do
- On PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series controllers, the original joysticks are soldered: installation involves desoldering, this is not a clip-in part.
- They do not fix drift caused by a damaged board or a software fault.
- They are not suitable for Joy-Con.
- No tension adjustment on this model: for that, see the GuliKit series with adjustable tension.
Compatibility
PS4 controller (DualShock 4), PS5 controller (standard DualSense), Xbox Series X|S controller and Switch Pro controller: choose the variant that matches your controller, the versions are not interchangeable. Not covered: Joy-Con, Elite Series 2 and DualSense Edge controllers, third-party controllers.
Skill level required
Advanced on PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series: disassembling the controller, desoldering the old joysticks (desoldering pump or wick, fine-tip iron) then soldering the new ones. On Switch Pro, write to our customer service before ordering to find out the procedure. Have precision screwdrivers, a plastic spudger and flux ready.

The job: setting a controller straight again
A crosshair that slides, a character that walks on its own: the controller drifts because its joystick is worn. Open it, desolder the old module, solder the NS51 in its place and close it up. The controller is back in action with a joystick that no longer relies on a resistive track, and it is often the very controller you thought was only fit for the bin.
The part: a joystick with no rubbing contact
GuliKit is one of the recognised makers of contactless joysticks. The NS51 uses a TMR sensor, which measures position through a magnetic effect instead of a wiper on a track. Each controller has its own version, in the format of the original module, and the packs of 5 or 10 pairs serve workshops that repair in batches.
Before soldering: what to plan for
Desoldering a joystick requires a fine-tip iron, flux and a pump or wick, along with patience so as not to lift a pad. If you are new to soldering, write to our customer service before ordering: it replies within 1 business day to tell you whether the job is within your reach.
