eXtremeRate Joy-Con 2 shell: a change of colour, buttons included
Changing the look of the Joy-Con 2 of the Switch 2 is done through the shell. This complete eXtremeRate housing replaces the original one and comes with its buttons, in eleven colours, including several translucent ones and a glow-in-the-dark one.
What it does
- Housing and buttons: the shell comes with its buttons, in the chosen colour.
- Eleven colours: translucent, solid or glow-in-the-dark.
- Translucent finishes: they show the controllers' electronics.
What it doesn't do
- No electronic parts: no battery, no board, no ribbon cable, no stick. The Joy-Con 2 are not included.
- It is not suitable for the Joy-Con of the first Switch or the Switch OLED.
- The kickstand is not included.
- The transfer requires a full disassembly of the Joy-Con 2, which is delicate because of the thin ribbon cables.

The job: dressing your Joy-Con 2
You open the Joy-Con 2, move the boards, the battery, the ribbon cables and the sticks into the new housing and close it up. The controllers work as before and change colour, buttons included: translucent to see the electronics, glow-in-the-dark to play in the dark, or a solid shade.
