Clicky kit for PS5 controller BDM-030: D-pad, face and shoulder buttons with a crisp click
On a PS5 controller, the D-pad and the buttons rest on rubber membranes: a soft press, with no crisp feedback. This eXtremeRate Clicky kit replaces them with microswitches on the D-pad, the face buttons and the shoulder buttons. It is reserved for BDM-030 controllers.
What it does
- Microswitches: crisp, audible click on the D-pad, the face buttons and the shoulder buttons.
- More precise D-pad: each direction is triggered by a sharp click.
- Two actuation forces: 0.6 N for a light click, 1.2 N for a firm click.
What it doesn't do
- It only fits BDM-030 controllers: not BDM-010, 020, 040, 050, 060, nor the DualSense Edge.
- It is noisier than a membrane: each press produces an audible click.
- It adds no buttons and does not make the buttons remappable.
- The controller is not included: the kit is installed on yours.
Compatibility
Standard PS5 controllers, revision BDM-030 only. Not covered: BDM-010, BDM-020, BDM-040, BDM-050, BDM-060 (separate kits) and DualSense Edge. If you do not know your controller's revision, write to us before ordering.
Skill level required
Full disassembly of the controller and removal of the button boards. Have a precision Phillips screwdriver, plastic spudgers and fine-nose pliers ready. Advanced level: read the installation procedure before ordering.

The job: a D-pad that clicks
In fighting or platform games, a mushy D-pad makes you miss combos. With this kit, each direction and each face and shoulder button is triggered by a crisp click. You open the controller, replace the original parts with those from the kit and close it up, and the feel changes completely.
The part: a kit for the BDM-030 only
eXtremeRate designs its Clicky kits revision by revision, because the inside of the PS5 controller changes from one series to the next. This one is reserved for the BDM-030. It comes in two stiffnesses: 0.6 N for a light click, 1.2 N for a firm click.
