Câble HDMI 2.1 à gaine tressée enroulé, connecteurs plaqués or visibles
Description complète

HDMI 2.1 cable: connect a console to a modern screen without losing the picture

A 4K screen, a recent console or a retro upscaler plugged into an old HDMI cable, and the picture drops out: flickering, intermittent black screen, refresh rate stuck. This cable is an HDMI 2.1 cable at 48 Gbps, with a braided sheath and gold-plated connectors, designed for permanent wiring in a TV unit or a gaming setup.

What it does

  • 48 Gbps bandwidth: enough to carry 4K at 120 Hz or 8K at 60 Hz, as well as HDR, with no visible compression.
  • Two versions: 4K 120 Hz for a home console or a PC, 8K 60 Hz if the screen supports it. Same cable, same sheath, same connectors.
  • Three lengths: 1 m for an upscaler placed next to the screen, 2 m for a TV unit, 3 m for a console placed further away from the TV.
  • Braided sheath: the cable withstands repeated plugging and being routed behind furniture without kinking the internal wiring. Male-to-male connectors, gold-plated contacts, aluminium housing.

What it doesn't do

  • It does not improve the picture of a retro console. A Super Nintendo, a Dreamcast or a PS2 have no HDMI output: you first need a converter or an upscaler, and this cable comes after it.
  • It doesn't convert anything: no HDMI to VGA, no HDMI to SCART, no scaling.
  • It doesn't push a screen or a console beyond what they can do: an HDMI 2.0 TV will stay at 4K 60 Hz with this cable.
  • The manufacturer has not provided us with any HDMI Forum certification (Premium or Ultra High Speed). We therefore state the standard and the data rate, not a label.

Compatibility

Any device with a full-size HDMI port (type A): TVs and monitors, projectors, TV boxes, desktop and laptop PCs, recent home consoles, retro mini consoles with HDMI output, as well as the retro converters and upscalers in our catalogue. Not suitable for mini-HDMI or micro-HDMI ports without an adapter, nor for consoles that predate HDMI (SCART, RCA, S-Video, VGA).

Skill level required

None. No soldering, no disassembly, no tools: just plug in. The only thing to watch is the length — measure the actual route behind the furniture before choosing between 1, 2 and 3 m; a cable that is too short bends at the connector and gets damaged.

In the box

The link you forget

In a retro setup, you take care over the console, the upscaler and the screen, then connect it all with the cable found at the back of a drawer. That cable is often what causes the intermittent black screen, the flicker at power-on or the refresh rate stuck at 60 Hz. An HDMI cable is not a neutral accessory: its bandwidth decides what the screen will agree to display.

48 Gbps, and nothing made up

This cable is an HDMI 2.1 cable at 48 Gbps: 4K at 120 Hz, 8K at 60 Hz, HDR. Braided sheath, aluminium housing, gold-plated contacts, male to male, in 1, 2 or 3 m. We state the bandwidth declared by the manufacturer and nothing more: no HDMI Forum certification has been sent to us, and we would rather say so than stick a logo on the listing.

What it doesn't replace

A cable does not convert a signal. A Super Nintendo, a Dreamcast or a PS2 have no HDMI output: they need a converter or an upscaler, and this cable comes after it, between the box and the TV. Likewise, it won't push an HDMI 2.0 screen to 120 Hz. It does just one thing, and does it well: carry the signal without degrading it.

Frequently Asked Questions

🔌 Does this cable improve the picture of my retro console?

No. It carries the signal, it doesn't transform it. A console with SCART, RCA or S-Video output first needs a converter or an upscaler; this cable then connects that box to the TV.

🎮 Which devices is it compatible with?

Any device with a full-size HDMI port (type A): TVs, monitors, projectors, TV boxes, PCs, recent home consoles, HDMI retro mini consoles, converters and upscalers. Mini-HDMI and micro-HDMI ports need an adapter, not supplied.

📏 Which length should I choose?

1 m if the device sits next to the screen, 2 m for a standard TV unit, 3 m if the console is further away or if the cable runs behind furniture. Measure the actual route, not the straight-line distance.

🖥️ What do the 4K, 8K and 16K 2.2 versions mean?

The 4K and 8K variants correspond to the HDMI 2.1 standard at 48 Gbps. The advertised 16K 2.2 variant uses the manufacturer's naming: we have no Ultra96 certification to confirm it, and we recommend an 8K variant for real-world use.

⚡ Do I need this cable to play at 120 Hz?

Yes, if the screen and the source support 4K 120 Hz: an HDMI 2.0 cable tops out at 18 Gbps and caps the refresh rate. With an HDMI 2.0 screen, the cable works but adds nothing more.

📦 What's in the box?

One male-to-male HDMI 2.1 cable, in the chosen length and version. No adapter, extension or splitter.

🚚 What are the delivery times?

Delivery in 10 to 18 days, ships within 3 to 5 days.

🛡️ What guarantee applies?

2-year legal guarantee of conformity. 14-day returns. French customer service, reply within 1 business day.
