Description complète
8BitDo Lite 2: the controller you take along without thinking
The Lite 2 weighs 82.7 g and is 12 cm wide: it fits in the console's carrying case, right next to the console. Despite its size, it keeps vibration, an adjustable Turbo function and a battery rated for 18 hours. It is the second controller in the bag, or the first for small hands.
What it does
- 82.7 g and 120 mm wide: the most portable format in the range, apart from the Micro and Zero.
- 18 hours of battery life claimed on a 480 mAh battery, recharged in 1 to 2 hours via USB-C.
- Vibration and adjustable Turbo function: it does not sacrifice these two features to its size.
- Switch and Switch 2 supported, as well as Android and Apple devices.
- Gyroscope available on Switch.
What it doesn't do
- Windows is not in the compatibility list stated by the manufacturer. The official list stops at Switch, Switch 2, Android and Apple devices. For a PC, you should look at another model in the range.
- The gyroscope only works on Switch. It is not available on Android or Apple.
- No 2.4 GHz wireless mode: Bluetooth connection only, or USB-C cable.
- No back buttons, no programmable paddles, no Hall effect sticks on this model.
- It does not connect to an original retro console without a dedicated Bluetooth receiver, sold separately.
- Supplied without games, in compliance with the law.
Compatibility
Stated by the manufacturer for Switch (3.0.0 and later), Switch 2 (20.1.1 and later), Android in D-input mode, iOS 16.3 and later, iPadOS 16.3 and later, tvOS 16.3 and later and macOS 13.2 and later. Windows is not listed. The gyroscope is reserved for the Switch.
Getting started
No disassembly, no soldering. Pairing is done with the button combination specific to each platform, given in the manufacturer's instructions. Charging is via the included USB-C cable. The Turbo function is configured directly on the controller.

The weight of a phone, the features of a controller
A compact controller can often be recognised by what it has lost: vibration, Turbo, battery life. The Lite 2 keeps all three in 82.7 g and 12 cm of width. It slips into the console's carrying case instead of taking up a compartment in your bag, and that is precisely why it ends up being the one you use.
Designed for the Switch, and the Switch 2 too
8BitDo has kept up with the updates: the Lite 2 is stated for the Switch from firmware 3.0.0 and for the Switch 2 from 20.1.1. The gyroscope works on these consoles, which covers the games that depend on it. On Android and Apple devices, it remains a standard controller, without gyroscope.
What it doesn't cover: PC
This is the point to check before ordering. The manufacturer's compatibility list comes down to Switch, Switch 2, Android and Apple devices. Windows is not on it. Many competing listings add it anyway; we prefer to tell you, and point you towards another model in the range if your machine is a PC.

Why buy here rather than on a marketplace
It is a fair question. Here is the answer, straight.
Every listing is checked before publication: platforms actually supported, stick technology, connectivity, what the controller does not do. Many models never make it into the catalogue.
A question, a pairing problem, a return: you write, a human replies within 1 business day. In French.
The 2-year legal warranty of conformity is handled by us — not by a form on the other side of the world. And 14 days to change your mind, with no need to justify yourself.
We do not claim to be the cheapest. We claim that you will know exactly what you are buying before you pay.
