Dreamcast and GameCube battery holder: a date and time that hold
A Dreamcast that asks for the date at every start-up, or a GameCube that loses its clock: the original soldered battery is worn out. This 2032 coin cell holder is soldered in its place; after that, the battery changes in seconds. The complete versions add coloured LEDs to customise the power indicator.
What it does
- Replaceable battery: once the holder is soldered, no iron is needed to change the battery.
- Two models: one holder for the Dreamcast, another for the GameCube.
- Complete version: coloured LEDs, plus a few supporting components for the Dreamcast.
What it does not do
- Battery not included. On Dreamcast, use a rechargeable ML2032 battery: the console recharges its battery.
- It does not recover saves, which are stored on the memory card.
