Omen: shadow rather than noise
Omen does not win a duel head-on: he slips in behind, blinds, vanishes and reappears elsewhere. He is the controller of patient players, the ones who read a map before crossing it. The artwork plays that night-time register, in the deep purples and smoky blacks associated with the character. On a black keyboard the set stays understated: it darkens the WASD block and the Esc key without breaking the whole. On a white keyboard the effect is far sharper, a few dark islands in the middle of a light surface, and you see nothing else. It is up to you to decide which contrast you want. The matte PBT surface serves this universe: it reflects little light, and the tones stay muted even under a desk lamp.
Night-time palette: what dye-sublimation allows, and the formats
On a dark set the first question is the pattern: how far can the ink go? Printing is done by dye-sublimation, under heat the ink turns to gas and diffuses into the material. It only goes from light to dark: it can only darken the key, which happens to suit a night palette. The manufacturer states 14 keys and five formats: 1U (1.8 × 1.8 cm), Caps Lock 1.75U (3.15 cm), Backspace 2U (3.6 cm), Enter 2.25U (4.05 cm) and space bar 6.25U (11.25 cm), i.e. an ANSI layout. Caps Lock to the left of the home row, Backspace top right, Enter on the right, space bar at the bottom; the 1U keys go wherever you like.
What the Omen set does not do
You might think a set this dark transforms the whole keyboard: it does not. Fourteen keycaps on a keyboard that has more than a hundred, the rest keeps its original keys, with a different shade and grain. You might also think these night-time patterns come alive under the LEDs: no, dye-sublimated legends do not let light through, it travels around the keys instead of through the pattern. This is neither a keyboard nor a game. It is not compatible everywhere: an MX cross-stem is required, so no membrane, no low profile, no laptop keyboard, and the space bar will not fit Costar stabilisers. It is not a licensed product: fan art inspired by the Valorant universe, published by a third-party manufacturer. The keycap puller is not included.

Will this set fit my keyboard?
Look at the stem of one of your switches: if it is cross-shaped, you are fine. The set clips onto mechanical keyboards with an MX cross-stem, Cherry MX, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu and most clones. It does not suit membrane keyboards, low-profile keyboards or laptop keyboards. The space bar requires clip-in MX stabilisers; with Costar stabilisers it will not mount.
What's in the box, and what is not?
14 keys are stated by the manufacturer, in five formats: 1U, Caps Lock 1.75U, Backspace 2U, Enter 2.25U and space bar 6.25U, i.e. an ANSI layout. The manufacturer does not publish the list of printed legends, so the product photos are the only source. The keycap puller, for its part, is not included: plan for one so you can remove your original keys without forcing them.
Which keyboard suits Omen's palette?
The set's dark purples and blacks blend into a black keyboard: the whole stays discreet and only the artwork stands out. On a white keyboard the contrast is sharp and the fourteen keys become a zone in their own right. Both work, they simply are not the same desk.
Will I still be able to read my keys on a set this dark?
That is the real question with a night palette. Dye-sublimation only goes from light to dark: the ink darkens the key, it never lightens it. And the patterns do not let light through from the LEDs, so nothing lights up. If you do not touch-type, keep these keys for the WASD block and Esc, whose positions you know by heart.
How do I look after these keycaps?
The pattern is dye-sublimated, meaning diffused into the material: it does not chip and does not rub off, so you can clean without worrying about the legend. A soft, slightly damp cloth is enough; for a full clean, remove the keys with a wire puller, which pulls straight without tearing the switch stem off.
Is this set an official product from the game's publisher?
No. It is a fan art design made by a third-party manufacturer, with artwork inspired by the Valorant universe. It is not a licensed item and there is no partnership whatsoever with the game's publisher.
